BlueNet

Everyone appreciates the convenience of a pay direct prescription drug plan. By using BlueNet®, employees are able to fill prescriptions without having to pay first and then send in receipts for reimbursement. Employees will know immediately whether a particular drug is covered under their plan and how much the plan pays.

How it works

When filling prescriptions, employees simply present their Manitoba Blue Cross ID card to the pharmacist. If an employee has BlueNet drug coverage, this will be indicated at the top right of their ID card. The pharmacist fills the prescription and electronically sends the claim to Manitoba Blue Cross. Manitoba Blue Cross adjudicates the claim immediately and notifies the pharmacist what portion of the cost the plan will pay. Built-in security features protect member confidentiality at all times.
