CPR Corporate Challenge
December 23, 2010
Manitoba Blue Cross earned second place in the first annual CPR Corporate Challenge with the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba. As a community role model, the organization was nominated to participate in this fun and exciting event that demonstrates how individuals can contribute to saving lives in the community using CPR.
During the month of November, the staff members of Manitoba Blue Cross were challenged to see how many people they could train in basic CPR. By the end of the month, the volunteers had trained a total of 301 people. The organization's own Supervisor for Life & Disability Services trained 92 of those people and received the top individual prize for the challenge. Team members were provided with a CPR Anytime Kit which is designed to teach rescuers of all ages how to perform CPR in approximately 25 minutes.
